He drop out of JTBC drama series “Mirror of the Witch“ due to the diagnosed with leukemia on 2016-May-04 after suffering light bruising during filming of the drama series. His leukemia was caught in the early stages and there is a high chance of curing his illness through treatment.

CHOI SUNG WON, comeback healthy, oppa! Sending out lots of prayers for a speedy recovery from leukemia! My mom beat it with 6 months of chemotherapy and no hair loss! Then, she vacationed for 4 months in the Caribbean living life like it’s golden! YOLO!
BTW, your Dong Rae character in ep. 2 of Mirror of the Witch is hilarious, so natural. Come back healthy and do more dramas! No problem, man!
