Kim Sung Min

Kim Sung Min (Born: Kim Sung Taek) was a South Korean actor. Kim rose to fame after starring in the popular drama “Miss Mermaid (2002-2003),” which recorded a viewer rating of over 40 percent. His fame steadily rose as he appeared in other popular dramas such as “Couple or Trouble (2006)” and reality programs like “Qualifications of Men (2009-2013).”
However, his popularity and reputation plummeted in 2011 as he struggled with substance abuse, caused by troubles in his private life. Kim sought to save his career by appearing on dramas, including “Can We Get Married (2012-2013)” and “Three Musketeers (2014).” On 24 June 2016 he attempted suicide, and was in critical condition, and on June 26th after being pronounced brain dead, Kim Sung Min’s family donated his organs remembering him saying he would like to do that. Though a troubled man, he will be remembered as a fine actor.
